Revised Home Playoff Events
Updated November 8th

Due to Hurricane Sandy, the Nor’easter, the inability to run effective football practices for the past two weeks, and concern for the health and safety of the student athletes, the Beach-Udall football game is cancelled! The NYS and local athletic associations do not allow for an extension of the season, so there will not be an opportunity to make up the game. The Nick LaGiglia trophy that is traditionally awarded to the winning team will note Hurricane Sandy as the winner for 2012!

Cross Country at Sunken Meadow Park- County Championships - cancelled

Field Hockey - Thursday, November 8th -2pm- Field Hockey at Comsewogue

Boys Soccer at Bay Shore - Thursday, November 8 - 2pm

Thursday, November 8th- 5:30pm- Gymnastics at Connetquot- County Team Championships

Saturday, Nov. 10th- 1:30pm Turf - Varsity Football vs West Babylon - Home

Saturday, November 10th- Girls Swimming and Diving at Suffolk Community College- County Championships- Diving- 11am; Swimming-2pm

Tomorrow, Friday, November 9th: 

Girls Varsity Soccer Playoff game vs Commack at home 2:00 on our turf field

Boys Varsity Soccer Playoff game at Bay Shore 2:00

Field Hockey Playoff game at Comsewogue 2:00

Please check the Section XI website for the rescheduling of these events as they are confirmed.
*JV/ Varsity Teams:
Revised varsity "brackets" and "Fall Championships" may be viewed on the Section XI website (www.sectionxi.org). Please understand that this is all tentative (as of 11/2/12). The tournament committee made the following decisions:

All varsity and JV fall regular season contests that were canceled this past week will not be rescheduled.

Any team in boys and girls volleyball that did not complete their regular season and was one victory away for qualifying for the playoffs will be admitted to the tournament.

The section seeding committee will meet on Monday at 9 am to seed Boys and Girls Volleyball.

League I, II and III Swimming championships have been cancelled.

The Large and Small School Field Hockey Championships have been cancelled.

The Girls Gymnastics schedule has been revised.

The X-C championships have been rescheduled.
*Middle School Teams:
All fall middle school sports contests that were cancelled this past week will not be rescheduled.
