The high school’s varsity boys soccer team finished second in their league, guided by coaches Brian Cameron and Ed Pieron. The Lions advanced to the quarterfinal round of the playoffs, losing a tough 1-0 game to eventual state champions Brentwood High School.

At the annual Suffolk County Boys Soccer Coaches Association awards dinner, held at Villa Lombardi’s in Holbrook, team members Brad Battaglini and Sean DeLuca earned All-County honors; Battaglini, DeLuca and Caden Dragelin earned All-Conference recognition; Billy Albrecht, Jack Kennedy and Evan Lodie were given All-League recognition; and Matt Cairo was named an Academic All-County winner. Additionally, Cameron and Pieron earned League IV Coach of the Year honors and Dennis Mazzalonga earned League IV JV Coach of the Year honors.
