High school student Karina Vartanian recently composed and recorded a song, “Thank You for the Memories,” as a tribute to the school’s graduating Class of 2020. Vartanian also created a collage video for the song.
“During this past school year, I took a music technology class run by my favorite teacher, Mr. Willis,” Vartanian said. “He taught me many different techniques throughout the year. Unfortunately, that time was cut short, but that didn’t stop my desire to continue to create and apply his teachings. I decided during quarantine, for Mr. Willis’ homework assignments, that I would write this song dedicated to the Class of 2020 and the teachers. It was such an amazing challenge to take on. Even though I am not a senior, I hope I was able to express all the emotions they are probably feeling.”
