Students in life skills class at Beach Street recently engaged in numerous hands-on activities. After listening to a poem about fall and viewing several different fall scenes, the students listened to calming music and were inspired by the poem and photos to paint their own fall scene. In a sensory writing activity, students practiced sight words by trying shaving cream writing. The class ended a hygiene unit with a soap project in which students designed their own homemade soap and took it home to use.
