The Family and Consumer Science Department at the West Islip High School is now planning for the Little Lion’s Preschool 2019-20 school year.

The purpose of the High School Preschool Program is to provide an opportunity for high school students enrolled in child study classes to plan for and work directly with young children. We are inviting four-year-old children (must turn 4 by December 1, 2019) to join us on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00-11:45 (pending budget approval).  Program runs October – May. If you are interested in having your child attend, please click here for the application or pick up an application at the high school main office.

Children are expected to attend all 3 days, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Preschool students who are enrolled in another program that conflicts with the West Islip Little Lions preschool program CANNOT be considered for enrollment and/or will be dropped from the program.

We will only accept mail-in registrations postmarked on or after March 1, 2019.  Applications will be accepted through April 15, 2019 for the initial lottery.  At that time, 18 students will be enrolled and the remaining will be placed on a waitlist.  Applications will continue to be accepted after that on a first come, first serve basis.  A confirmation letter or waiting list notification will be sent to you at the end of May.  This program is only for West Islip School District residents.
