Sixth graders in Jeanette Merola’s and Janet Renganeschi’s classes at Udall traveled to New York City on Earth Day to interview Grammy-nominated musician, philanthropist and author Julian Lennon. The students met with Lennon to discuss his new book, “Love the Earth,” the conclusion of a bestselling trilogy, and spoke to him about Lennon’s humanitarian efforts, which inspired the writing of his books. His White Feather Foundation was created in 2007 with the key initiatives being the education, health, conservation and the protection of indigenous cultures.
