High school student Jake Maresca was one of a dozen Suffolk County seniors to receive a $2,000 scholarship and gift from the Association of Suffolk Supervisors for Educational Technology at a May 23 ceremony. Each year ASSET offers this award annually to 10 to 12 deserving students who will be entering into higher education and studying fields that integrate technology.
“After viewing the recipients’ video applications, all of those attending were able to witness how Jake’s passion for robotics has shaped what he hopes to continue in his higher education pursuits,” said Reanna Fulton, the district’s director of technology.
