Bellew recently dedicated a Buddy Bench in memory of former Bellew student Robert Ferruggiari, with Ferruggiari’s parents and family members in attendance at the dedication ceremony held in the Bellew auditorium. The bench was donated by Douglas Winter, a childhood friend of Ferruggiari who also attended Bellew. The Buddy Bench – meant to encourage friendship, kindness and inclusiveness – was installed in the school’s courtyard next to a student-created rock garden.  

“We thank the district’s buildings and grounds crew for installing the bench,” said Bellew Principal Rhonda Pratt. “It looks terrific!”
