New Director of Instructional Technology Named in West Islip

West Islip School District has named Dr. Patrick Kiley-Rendon as its executive director of technology and innovation, effective, April 17. Dr. Kiley-Rendon joins West Islip after serving as director of instructional technology at Long Beach School District since 2018.

Prior to his experience in Long Beach School District, Dr. Kiley-Rendon worked as an assistant principal and teacher at Half Hollow Hills School District. He currently also serves as an adjunct professor at Stony Brook University and Molloy University.

Dr. Kiley-Rendon received his bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University and holds two master’s degrees – one in English Language Arts education from Hofstra University and one in school district leadership and school building leadership from Touro College. He holds a doctorate in administrative and instructional leadership from St. John’s University as well as numerous certifications.

“The superintendent of schools and the board of education have a great vision for the future of the West Islip School District and I’m excited to be a part of that,” Dr. Kiley-Rendon said.
