The third graders in Mrs. Staak, Ms. Sugumele, Mrs. Rush and Mrs. Lucie’s classes at Bayview Elementary School spent the last few weeks learning about metamorphosis. They observed the lifecycle of butterflies and using their STEM skills and help from Mrs. Caufield in the MST lab, they created homes for the butterflies to live safely until they emerged. They learned a special butterfly song with Mrs. Caufield to help them remember the metamorphosis process. The students released the butterflies individually.
