As a culminating activity to their unit on space and the planets, prekindergarten students at Oquenock Elementary School blasted off into space to explore the solar system. Ms. Hudson’s classroom was transformed into a rocket ship, and the young astronauts – complete with their helmets and tickets– boarded the spacecraft to take a virtual journey into outer space together. Aboard the ship, the prekindergartners counted down as they launched into space and engaged in online lessons on the planets and solar system before returning to Oquenock Elementary.
