In honor of National EMS Week and to show their support for local community members, students at Manetuck Elementary School created thank-you cards to be delivered to the West Islip Fire Department. The theme for EMS Week 2025 is “We Care. For Everyone.” After learning the important role of first responders in the community and how they help to save lives, students created cards and drew pictures thanking them for their service. National EMS Week will be observed from May 18-24, 2025. The week is dedicated to recognizing the hard work and dedication of emergency medical services professionals, including paramedics, EMTs and other prehospital care providers.
