First-grade students in Mrs. Grimm’s class at Oquenock Elementary School participated in a fun and educational shopping activity at the Grimm & Wheeler Super Store, guided by math coach Amy Wheeler. Students practiced essential math skills by counting their $2 in coins to fill their money cups (wallets), shopping within a set budget, calculating their totals, and determining how much change they would receive. This hands-on experience helped reinforce financial literacy and real-world problem-solving in an engaging and memorable way.
