During the month of November, students at Bellew spent time writing expressions of gratitude. Each classroom teacher was asked to select one student from their class to present their writing at the annual PJB Gratitude Assembly. Students invited their “special persons” to attend virtually and hear them read the day before Thanksgiving. Special guests were sent a Google Meet link and the students watched their classmates on the classroom Smartboards. Every child in the school also completed a paper link and wrote down what they were thankful for. The classroom chains were connected and later hung in the school’s main hallway to symbolize thankfulness for the people and opportunities in everyone’s lives.

“This assembly brings our school community together and gets to the heart of what our students are thankful for,” said Principal Rhonda Pratt.
