Hofstra Student Brings Video Production Experience to the HS

Hofstra Student Brings Video Production Experience to the HS thumbnail180386

Three advanced video production students at West Islip High School – Olivia Calabretta, Nicole Rafferty and Matthew Whittles – recently worked with Hofstra University School of Communications student Christen Miller to better understand the video production process by planning a public service announcement on proper disposal of personal protective equipment. Miller, who is specializing in television production at Hofstra, taught storyboarding techniques to help tell the story about PPE.

“If I had the opportunities you have in this video production program in the high school, it would have made my first year of Hofstra much easier,” Miller told the high schoolers.
