Congratulations to the West Islip varsity kickline team and coaches Jessica Cichy and Emma Iehle on an incredible winter season. The team performed with elegance, grace and skill and placed in every Long Island Dance Team Association competition. For the first time in school history, the Lions earned first-place honors in both the Pom Division and Kick Division at the competition at Walt Whitman High School. They repeated their win in the competition at Northport High School. Senior captains Sophia Colonna and Amanda Lundquist were also honored as part of LIDTA’s first All-Long Island team.
