High school students in James Stidd’s Intro to Trades class recently completed the interior of their model wall sections. Working in groups, students replicated scaled-down home wall sections. Structures included a cinder block foundation, 2x4 wall framing, interior door, drywall, spackling and paint.  Working light switches and outlets as well as functional plumbing fixtures were included inside the walls. The exterior phase of construction has already begun and will include framing, sheathing and shingling a roof as well as installing exterior vinyl siding.
