Captivating the emotional audience with “Rise Up” and “The Power of One,” West Islip High School’s Vocal Motion group of talented juniors and seniors performed Oct. 6 at the West Islip Breast Cancer Coalition’s Pink Flags of October ceremony to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Hundreds of pink flags were displayed on Good Samaritan Hospital’s front lawn for the event.
“It was a beautiful day that showed love and devotion to those who have been affected by breast cancer,” said Eric Albinder, West Islip’s director of art and music education.
