Junior Selected to Represent Team USA at International Surf Rescue Championships

West Islip High School junior Colin Stueber has been selected to represent Team USA at the 2025 International Surf Rescue Championships (ISRC), to be held this November in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand. The event is hosted by the United States Lifesaving Association.
Colin was chosen as one of only eight male athletes nationwide to join the Under-19 National Team, which is comprised of 16 athletes in total — eight men and eight women. The team will compete in a series of lifesaving sport events against elite international teams from New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Japan, Spain, and Germany.
“I’m incredibly honored and excited to represent the United States on the world stage,” Colin said. “Competing at the ISRC is a dream come true, and I’m proud to be part of a team that reflects the highest standards in lifesaving sport and service.”
West Islip High School and the entire district community congratulate Colin on this outstanding accomplishment and wish him great success as he represents both his country and his community on the international stage.
