I hope this message finds you well and enjoying the final days of summer with your loved ones. As we prepare to welcome students and staff back to school, I want to extend a warm and heartfelt greeting to all of our West Islip families - both those returning and those joining us for the first time.

The 2025-2026 school year promises to be an exciting chapter in our district’s proud tradition of excellence. Our staff has been hard at work this summer preparing our buildings, reviewing curriculum, and planning meaningful learning experiences to support every student academically, socially, and emotionally.

Thanks to the dedication of our educators and the support of our families and community, we’ve continued to build momentum in areas that matter most - from early literacy and innovative STEM programs to inclusive classroom practices and opportunities for student voice. This year, we are especially excited about several new initiatives, enhancements to existing programs, and ongoing investments in student wellness, safety, and engagement.

Here in West Islip, we believe in the power of partnership. Your involvement, encouragement, and collaboration play a vital role in your child’s success. Together, we will continue to nurture a school culture grounded in kindness, high expectations, and a deep sense of community pride.

Thank you for entrusting us with the privilege of educating your children. We can’t wait to see their smiling faces as we open our doors on the first day of school - Tuesday, September 2nd - and begin another incredible year together.

Wishing you a smooth and joyful start to the new school year!
