In accordance with established policy of the West Islip School District, children must be five (5) years of age on or before December 1 in order to be enrolled in kindergarten for the coming year.
At the time of registration, a parent/guardian must present school officials with all required documentation. The building school nurse will review the immunization documentation for completeness. 2026-27 Pre-K Registration is Now Open!
Registration for the West Islip Union Free School District’s 2026-2027 Pre-K Program at South Shore Children’s Center of West Islip will take place online from October 17, 2025 through November 17, 2025. Click here to begin a registration. If you have a child residing in the district who will turn four (4) years of age on or before December 1, 2026, they are eligible to apply for a spot in the Pre-K Program.

Según las reglas del Distrito Escolar de West Islip, los niños deben tener cinco (5) años cumplidos antes del 1 de diciembre para poder inscribirse en kindergarten para el próximo año.
Al inscribirse, un padre o tutor debe presentar todos los documentos requierdos. La enfermera de la escuela revisará los documentos de vacunación para asegurarse de que estén completos. ¡Ya está abierta la inscripción para preescolar 2026-27!
La inscripción para el programa preescolar 2026-2027 del Distrito Escolar Libre Unificado de West Islip en el Centro Infantil South Shore de West Islip se realizará por internet. Podrás inscribirte desde el 17 de octubre hasta el 17 de noviembre de 2025. Haz clic aquí para empezar tu inscripción. Si tienes un hijo que vive en el distrito y cumplirá cuatro (4) años antes del 1 de diciembre de 2026, puede participar en el programa preescolar.
