Bayview Fourth Graders Journey Into Native American History

Fourth grade students at Bayview Elementary School are embarking on an educational journey into Native American history. On Oct. 6., they participated in the Journeys into American Indian Territory program, designed to deepen their understanding of indigenous cultures, traditions and contributions.
The program provided students with an engaging exploration of American Indian history, offering lessons about the rich heritage, diverse cultures, and lasting impact of indigenous peoples in North America. Through interactive activities, games and hands-on learning, students gained meaningful insights into Native American life, traditions and historical perspectives.
The program aligns with fourth grade social studies curriculum standards and supports the district's commitment to providing diverse, inclusive educational experiences.
