Photography Students Offer a Close-Up Look

Under the guidance of teacher Ron Weber, West Islip High School photography 2 students are zooming in on the details with macro photography. Diving into this immersive style, they’re exploring the hidden details of a miniature world — capturing everything from delicate textures to intricate patterns you’d normally miss. Using macro lenses and close-up techniques, students are learning to adjust lighting, depth of field and stability to create sharp, vivid images at very close range.
What’s really impressive is how they’re slowing down, observing more closely, and transforming ordinary objects into bold, creative works of art. Their talent, patience and eye for detail are truly shining through…take a look at the incredible work they’ve created!
