Congratulations to Rayna Litwak and Isabella Juliano, who became the first female student-athletes to compete on a West Islip varsity girls wrestling team. During the 2025-2026 winter season, West Islip partnered with Bay Shore to form a combined varsity wrestling team. Rayna and Isabella not only represented West Islip with pride, but also achieved significant success throughout the season, helping pave the way for future generations of female wrestlers.
In addition to being one of the first girls in West Islip history to compete at the varsity level, Isabella also made history by becoming the first female wrestler from West Islip to earn All-County honors, a remarkable achievement and testament to her hard work, dedication and talent. Both Rayna’s and Isabella’s accomplishments mark an important step forward for the growth of girls wrestling in West Islip and serve as an inspiration to younger student-athletes across the district.
