West Islip High School’s Ron Weber has been named the recipient of the LISTEMELA STEM Star Teacher Award. This prestigious honor recognizes educators who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to providing students with innovative, high-quality STEM learning experiences. With more than 50 years in education, Mr. Weber has inspired countless students through his passion for hands-on learning and creativity in courses such as video production, digital photography and electronics.

Throughout his career, Mr. Weber has helped students develop real-world skills while fostering creativity, collaboration and innovation. From live-streaming school events to mentoring generations of students and aspiring educators, his dedication has made a lasting impact on both STEM education and the West Islip community.
