On May 19, West Islip High School seniors Cindy Lin and Abigail Richardelli were recognized at the Long Island Business Teachers Association luncheon for receiving awards in its annual business competition. Cindy placed second in College Accounting, while Abigail took third place in Elevator Pitch. The competition was held on March 31 against high schools from Nassau and Suffolk counties.

In addition, West Islip’s Trish Hinchman was recognized as New Teacher of the Year.” Ms. Hinchman recently became part of the business department at Beach Street Middle School, bringing her innovative teaching style to Computer Essentials and Building Your Tomorrow.
