Three talented 10th grade artists from West Islip High School have been selected to have their artwork featured in the New York State School Boards Association 2026 Student Art Exhibit, sponsored by the New York State Art Teachers Association.

The honorees, who were enrolled in Ms. Caulfield’s classes during the 2025-26 school year, are Diana Adames, Regan Lyden and Kayla Henke. Their artwork was selected for inclusion in this year’s virtual exhibit, which showcases outstanding student artwork from elementary and secondary schools across New York State.

The annual exhibit provides an opportunity to celebrate student creativity and bring attention to the artistic accomplishments of students with members of local school boards from across the state. School board members attending this year’s NYSSBA Convention can view the artwork during the event from Oct. 22-24 in Buffalo, NY. Since 2020, the exhibit has been presented virtually, allowing student artwork from across New York’s 10 regions to be showcased in an online format. Attendees and the public will continue to have access to the virtual art exhibit through spring 2027. 

“We are incredibly proud of these three students and the exceptional artwork they created,” said Ms. Caulfield. “It is exciting to see their work recognized and represented alongside talented student artists from across New York State. I am looking forward to seeing the virtual exhibit go live and celebrating their accomplishments.”
