Taking a Crack at the Egg Drop Challenge

Fifth grade scientists in Mr. O’Neill’s class at Paul J. Bellew Elementary School put their engineering skills to the test with an exciting egg drop challenge! Working together, students designed and built structures intended to protect an egg from impact. They then tested their creations, evaluated the results and made improvements along the way.
The hands-on challenge encouraged students to apply creativity, problem-solving, teamwork and the engineering design process while putting their science skills into action.
