Environmental Club Goes From Classroom to Cleanup

Members of the West Islip High School Environmental Club recently stepped outside the classroom to make a positive impact in the community by participating in a local beach cleanup at Robert Moses State Park.
Led by Mr. Haldenwang, students spent the morning rolling up their sleeves and working together to remove litter and debris from the shoreline. Their efforts helped keep the beach clean while supporting the health and beauty of the local environment. The cleanup provided students with an opportunity to put their commitment to environmental stewardship into action. Through hands-on service, they saw firsthand how individual efforts can contribute to a cleaner community and help protect local wildlife and natural habitats.
